Product Details
Quadriline Ointment treats skin infections by combining four medications: betamethasone, gentamicin, tolnaftate, and clioquinol (iodochlorhydroxyquin). Betamethasone is a steroid medication. It inhibits the synthesis of chemical messengers known as prostaglandins, which cause the skin to become red, puffy, and itchy. Gentamicin is an antibiotic with added antifungal properties. It inhibits the development and proliferation of bacteria and fungus. Tolnaftate is also an antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting the production of key proteins necessary for bacteria to perform crucial tasks. Clioquinol (iodochlorhydroxyquin) is an antifungal that prevents fungus from building their own protective layer.
