Product Details
Halobetasol belongs to the topical corticosteroid family of medication. It possesses immunosuppressive, anti-inflammatory, and anti-mitogenic qualities. Halox S Lotion contains Salicylic Acid (3%) and Halobetasol/Ulobetasol (0.05%) as its active constituents. Salicylic acid belongs to the keratolytic class of medicines. Topical salicylic acid softens and loosens dry, scaly, or thickened skin, making it easier to peel or fall off. It prevents the formation of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) responsible for making skin red, puffy and itching. By preventing the metabolism of arachidonic acid and the synthesis of prostaglandins, it suppresses late phase allergic responses.
