Used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (where diet, exercise, and the single agent do not result in sufficient glycemic control).
Direction For Use
Take GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET as prescribed by your physician. GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET should be taken with a glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing the medication. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and duration for you based on your age, weight, and medical status. Do not discontinue GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET without consulting your doctor.
Side Affects
Symptoms may include taste alteration, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, and lack of appetite. Stop using GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET and call your doctor right away if you suffer any of the following negative effects: Lactic acidosis may cause liver inflammation, leading to jaundice. severe allergic responses (such as skin rash, hives, and increased sensitivity to the light, inflammation of blood vessels that may develop into major reactions with trouble breathing, drop in blood pressure, and occasionally escalating to shock) very low blood sugar levels
Safety Advices
Contraindicated during pregnancy. GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET should not be used while pregnant. If you want to get pregnant, consult your doctor before using GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET. Breastfeeding: Contraindicated GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET should not be used during nursing since it may pass into the breastmilk. Use caution while driving or using machines. Do not drive or operate any machinery if you have low or high blood sugar levels (symptoms include dizziness, weariness, shaking or trembling) or if you suffer eye issues as a result of blood sugar fluctuations. ALCOHOL Consult with your doctor. Avoid drinking alcohol while using GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET because it may enhance or reduce the blood sugar lowering effect of the medication and raise the risk of lactic acidosis. KIDNEY Consult with your doctor. GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET is not indicated for use in people with severe renal disease, and it should be used with care in patients with kidney disease. Your dosage will be modified as required based on your kidney function. Consult your doctor about liver issues. GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET is not suggested if you have severe liver disease. It should be taken with care in individuals with liver disease, and your dosage will be modified as required based on your liver function. ALLERGY: Contraindicated GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET should not be used if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Glimepiride, Metformin, other sulfonylureas (such as glipizide, glibenclamide), or sulfonamides (such as sulfamethoxazole). Heart disease is contraindicated. GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET should not be used by individuals who have acute heart issues, have recently had a heart attack, or have serious circulation or breathing difficulties (signs of heart failure). APPLICATION IN PEDIATRICS Contraindicated GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET is not suggested for use by children or adolescents under the age of 18. USE IN GERIATRICS Consult with your doctor. GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET is not advised for senior patients (75 years or older), however it should be taken with care in elderly patients (65 years or older), particularly those with poor kidney function. During your treatment with GLYCOMET GP 0.5MG TABLET, your doctor may do more regular kidney function tests.
