Side Affects

Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) symptoms include perspiration, disorientation, and confusion. Nausea or an unsettled stomach. Diarrhea or stomach ache. Weight gain (in some instances). Lactic acidosis is a rare adverse effect of metformin.
