In Epilepsy and Seizures Brevipil 50 Tablet is an anticonvulsant (sometimes known as anti-epileptic). It works by delaying the electrical signals in the brain that induce seizures (fits). This medication can be used to treat three types of seizures: myoclonic, partial-onset, and main generalized tonic-clonic (or grand mal). It can also assist to alleviate symptoms including bewilderment, excessive jerking movements, loss of awareness, and fear or anxiety. The medication may allow you to engage in things that you would otherwise be restricted or afraid to undertake (such as swimming and driving). This medication may take a few weeks to take effect (since the dose must be gradually increased), and you may continue to suffer seizures during that period. You should keep taking it even if you feel OK and have no seizures. Missing dosages may cause a seizure. Do not stop taking this medication until your doctor recommends you to.
