Atorva 5 Tablet is a lipid-lowering medicine (statin). It acts by inhibiting an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase), which is required in the body to produce cholesterol. It so reduces "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while increasing "good" cholesterol (HDL).
