Product Details

An Overview to Aldactone 25 MG: A prescription drug called aldactone (spironolactone) is used to treat a number of ailments, including oedema, heart failure, and excessive blood pressure. Aldactone should always be taken precisely as directed by your physician. Never take less or more medication than is advised. It is often taken once a day, ideally just after a meal or in the morning with food. Drink a glass of water and swallow the tablet whole. Unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, do not chew, crush, or break the tablet. Take the medication as soon as you remember to do so if you forget to take it. On the other hand, skip the missed dose and stick to your usual dosing schedule if your next scheduled dose is approaching. Never take two doses to make up for one that you missed. Aldactone can raise potassium levels to dangerous levels, so avoid taking potassium supplements or eating too many meals high in potassium. When utilizing potassium-containing salt replacements, use caution since they may also raise blood potassium levels. Some people may feel drowsy or dizzy after using aldactone. Until you know how the drug affects you, stay away from tasks that call for mental attentiveness. Because some medications can interact with Aldactone, let your doctor know about any additional medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal items. Not everyone should take aldactone, particularly if they have Addison's disease, liver disease, or kidney issues. Prior to beginning the medicine, be careful to share your medical history with your doctor. The full benefits of aldactone may not be seen for a few weeks. Avoid stopping the drug suddenly without first talking to your doctor. High potassium levels may be the cause of symptoms including increased thirst, disorientation, an irregular heartbeat, or muscle weakness. If you feel any of these, call your doctor right once.
