Product Details

Acivir-400 DT Tablet is an antiviral medication used to manage various viral infections. It is commonly prescribed for treating cold sores (painful blisters near the mouth caused by the herpes simplex virus), genital herpes (a sexually transmitted infection characterized by sores and discomfort), herpes zoster (also known as shingles, which causes a painful rash), and chickenpox. While Acivir-400 DT Tablet does not cure herpes, it helps to control the infection by preventing its spread and alleviating symptoms. The active ingredient in Acivir-400 DT Tablet is Aciclovir, an antiviral agent that works by inhibiting the replication of viral DNA, thereby reducing the viral load in the body. This medicine should be taken with or without food, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage and duration will depend on your medical condition. Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, and increased sensitivity to sunlight. These side effects are usually mild and resolve on their own. However, consult your doctor if they persist or worsen. Take Acivir-400 DT Tablet only under medical supervision. Avoid self-medication and do not share this medicine with others, even if they have similar symptoms. Do not take this tablet if you are allergic to Aciclovir or any of its components. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any other medications, including over-the-counter or herbal products. If you have a weakened immune system, let your doctor know, as you may require a dose adjustment. Additionally, use protection during sexual activity to prevent transmission of genital herpes to your partner.
